The Highwayman Inn

Did you know the Highwayman is haunted?

The ghost of an old lady in a Mop Cap has been seen by a local in the past, previous landlords have even reported that strange noises & banging accoured through a false ceiling that were not possible, even the local university came to check out the findings.

More than a bit of history..

The Highwayman Inn, was originally called the Carpenters Arms.
Before the construction of Rhoose Airport Port Road was the main thouroghfare from Aberthaw on to London. Annie & Arthur Hopgood owned and ran the Carpenters Arms Rhoose in 1941, with the pub changing hands in the 60's along with its name to the Highwayman Inn. Landlords changes over the next 50 years included Will, John, Kim & Derek.
